Pre-Vocational Services
Gateway Community Industries provides Pre-Vocational Services to qualified individuals who receive New York State Medicaid Benefits and meet the criteria for the Home and Community Based Waiver. "Pre-Vocational Services" are aimed at preparing individuals for paid or unpaid employment. Individuals learn to develop skills such as good work habits, staying on task and interpersonal relationships. Pre-Vocational services are delivered within our Center-Based Work environment. Person-centered goals are developed in a team environment headed by a pre-vocational counselor. Individuals learn concepts such as:

Eligibility Requirements
| • Diagnosis of a Developmental Disability as Defined by NYS Mental Health Law • Eligible for New York State Medicaid Services • Enrollment in or Eligibility for Home & Community Based Waiver |
