Gateway Community Industries, Inc., founded in 1957, is one of the leading independent, not-for-profit vocational rehabilitation and training centers for people with mental and/or physical disabilities.The agency provides comprehensive services in both Ulster and Dutchess counties: vocational evaluation, job training, job placement, vocational work center employment, supported employment, psychiatric rehabilitation, and residential habilitation/rehabilitation. Gateway is a United Way agency and receives its operating certifications through the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the New York State Office for People with Disabilities (OPWDD).
